Intel’s Softphone/voip patent… and CU SeeMe
Turns out Intel has a patent on VoIP phones on PC’s. You can check it here. It covers basically anything that does Voice over IP covers it. It was applied in 2000 and granted in late 2006.
Problem is… there’s prior art called CU See Me. It was origionaly video only, but audio was added in… 1994 (for Macs, 1995 for Windows).
Whoops, US Patent Office screwed up again.
So, RedWolf got another blog. This time, though is for some of the items of running Linux in Second Life, especially with me as Drake Bacon and Drake Winger.
I’ll be reposting my articles from the M2, but with about a week or two delay. Hopefully, I’ll have more people posting here from the community.
